Hi Anangsha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Meet Anangsha

Hi everyone, I am Anangsha Alomyan, and I hail from Guwahati, Assam, in Northeast India. “Anangsha” means holy, divine, and pure, which implies void of form. Krishna’s sister’s name was Anangsha.

My parents put me through professional training in Lawn Tennis, Fine Arts, Indian Classical Music, and Choir. And I am always grateful to them for doing this:)

Growing up as a shy kid who rarely interacted with others, I soon realized I had to break out of my shell. To gain social skills, I made small talk with others. I am undoubtedly ambivert, but occasionally, my introverted side takes precedence over my outgoing side.

Right after my 12th standard, I felt that becoming a CA and pursuing an MBA from London would look cool and make me a ton of money. But I scored terribly in Accounts and Math ( almost flunked).

Ps: Just took Commerce for the sake of it.

In general, I have lived a roller coaster of a life, switching careers frequently, but at least I now know what I want to do.

I pursued my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Sociology from renowned colleges of Delhi University ( Miranda House and Delhi School of Economics) because I was following my parents’ advice, “Beta govt Job Mai Jana Hoga, Isliye ye best Rahega” and also the societal pressure.

I never liked the subject and wanted to drop out, but I didn’t have the guts. After completing my master’s, I immersed myself in digital media and discovered my affinity for it. People made fun of me for not having a niche and being a poor marketer.

But I always believed in my ability to improve, so I studied digital marketing and other creative fields in-depth. What do I do apart from Digital Marketing? I mainly involve myself in dancing, rap, and songwriting, making comedy videos on Instagram, and sketching.

It keeps my mind relaxed and keeps my creative juices flowing. Playing my favorite piano pieces and leaving my home to take pictures is my escape.

I find adventure travel and trekking extremely rewarding because they give me an adrenaline rush and allow me to discover different cultures.

Would you say, Anangsha, it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

Anangsha's Journey

The world of social media marketing is my current domain. I strategize, craft content, and prepare campaigns, always striving to become a master storyteller for brands.

Yet, behind the scenes of meticulous planning and engaging captions, another fire burns brightly – a passion for dance, a vibrant expression of movement and emotion.

These are just two chapters in the book of my life, but recently, a new chapter has begun to unfold – one that merges both passions into an exciting pursuit: becoming a travel content creator.

The seed of this new journey was sown during moments of quiet introspection. Yes, I thrived on the creative energy of marketing and the satisfaction of crafting compelling narratives.

But a yearning for something more that combined exploration with storytelling began to take root. During a particularly challenging marketing campaign, I realized I wanted to tell my own stories, stories woven from the threads of travel and adventure.

My biggest hurdle wasn’t the competitive marketing landscape or the demanding dance routines – it was the omnipresent self-doubt.

The nagging question accompanied every strategic decision and pirouette, “Will I ever reach my goals?” The voice of self-doubt became a constant adversary, whispering insecurities and paralyzing me with fear of failure.

But then, I began to understand the most crucial truth: the greatest journeys often begin with a single, hesitant step, one that might wobble but eventually finds its rhythm.

The turning point arrived during a trek, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of nature. It wasn’t just about conquering the peak; it was about conquering my internal battles.

With each challenging step on the uneven terrain, my doubts dissipated. My resilience grew as I pushed past physical limitations, proving that I could achieve anything I set my mind.

Armed with my marketing expertise and newfound confidence, I’m ready to merge my skillset with my wanderlust and embark on a new adventure: becoming a travel content creator.

The treks I once undertook for personal growth will now be opportunities to capture captivating stories. Breathtaking landscapes, the thrill of discovering hidden gems, and the quiet moments of self-discovery along the way are the experiences I’ll share through engaging content on social media.

However, creating travel content isn’t just about capturing beautiful scenery. It’s about delving deeper, connecting with local cultures, and sharing the essence of a place.

I’ll document the challenges faced on the trail to showcase strength and resonate with viewers who share a similar adventurous spirit.

The road ahead won’t be entirely smooth – there will be technical glitches, unexpected travel hurdles, and moments of uncertainty.

However, I can silence that inner critic by using my marketing experience to craft high-quality content and storytelling skills to weave a narrative.

With every breathtaking sunset captured and every cultural insight shared, I aim to inspire others to confront their self-doubt and chase their passions with unwavering determination.

This new chapter is about becoming a social media nomad, a storyteller who inspires others to explore the world while sharing their unique journeys.

It’s about merging my passions – the strategic mind of a marketer with the adventurous spirit of a traveler – to create content that resonates, captivates, and ultimately empowers others to take their leap of faith.

The path ahead may be paved with challenges, but with each step, I know I’m getting closer to fulfilling my dreams, one trek (and one social media post) at a time.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about travel influencing, vlogging, and content creation?

Anangsha's Goals

Being a travel creator is more than just showcasing stunning photography (although that’s a big part of it!). It’s about weaving a narrative, sharing a journey, and inspiring others to explore the world.

You’re right, capturing those beautiful moments with strangers and the thrill of discovering hidden gems are core experiences.

What it actually means:

  1. Storytelling Through Every Lens: While your photos are captivating glimpses, the stories behind them resonate. Did a local guide share a folktale under a starlit sky? Did you overcome a travel hurdle with newfound resilience? These anecdotes weave magic around your visuals, transporting viewers to the heart of your experience.
  2. The Unknown Becomes Your Playground: You crave adventure. You research lesser-known peaks, pristine lakes, and secret trails, and you are excited to be a pioneer for your audience. The thrill of discovery fuels your passion, and you document it all, encouraging others to step off the beaten path.
  3. Community Curator: Travel creators foster a community of like-minded adventurers. You share travel tips, answer questions, and build connections with people who share your wanderlust. You become a trusted resource, inspiring others to embark on their journeys.
  4. Embrace the Hustle: Glamorous destinations come with behind-the-scenes work. You manage social media, plan collaborations with brands, and edit content—all while on the move. Staying organized and adaptable is key to success.
  5. Lifelong Learner: Travel is a constant teacher. You learn new cultures, languages, and customs. You push your physical limits and embrace the unexpected. This thirst for knowledge fuels your creativity and keeps your content fresh.

Essentially, a travel creator is a storyteller, an explorer, a community leader, and a savvy entrepreneur. You capture the magic of travel through your lens, but your passion, resilience, and storytelling truly set you apart. So, keep exploring, sharing, and inspiring the world to wander.

What are your upcoming plans and future goals?

Social media strategy and content creation are my current career playground, and I’m constantly honing my skills to become the ultimate storyteller. But there’s another side to me – a passionate dancer who thrives on creative expression. These are just two parts of the equation!

My ultimate goal fuses both passions: becoming a travel content creator. Imagine capturing the breathtaking landscapes of a challenging trek through social media magic. I crave adventure, and the upcoming months are packed with treks, especially the ones that push my limits.

These journeys will be more than physical feats; they will be opportunities to create captivating content that inspires others to explore hidden gems and embrace their own passions.

So, while I strategically craft campaigns by day, I’ll dream of mountain trails by night, camera in hand, ready to transform my adventures into a social media odyssey.
